Postdoctoral Scholar Position in Bone and Cartilage Tissue Engineering
Description
A postdoctoral position in bone and cartilage tissue engineering is available at UCLASchool of Dentistry/Bioengineering. This NIH-funded project will involve the development of injectable hydrogels and nanocarrier systems for delivery of precursor cells and therapeutic molecules for osteochondral tissue engineering applications. Fellows are expected to interact with an interdisciplinary team of investigators, with experts in biomedical engineering, polymer chemistry, molecular, cell and developmental biology, orthopedic surgery, animal study and transplantation, etc.
Qualifications:
Postdoctoral applicants should have a recent PhD in biomedical engineering, biology, or a related field. Applicants must have a strong research track record in one or more of the following areas: molecular biology, stem cell biology, bone and/or cartilage tissue engineering, gene therapy, polymer synthesis, biomaterial processing and characterization.
