As part of its programme to provide postdoctoral research opportunities for scholars of proven academic excellence, University College Dublin is pleased to announce the Merck Serono Newman Fellowship in Translational Medicine and Medical Oncology.
The appointment of a Postdoctoral Fellowship in translational medicine and medical oncology is established with the generous support of Merck Serono. The Merck Serono Newman Fellow is expected to contribute to the development and continuation of an active research programme which is focused on improving response to therapy in colorectal cancer patients. The Postdoctoral Fellow will be based in the UCD School of Medicine and Medical Science and the Centre for Colorectal Disease, St Vincent’s University Hospital.
Applications are invited from candidates who hold a PhD in immunology, preferably with research experience in the area of tumour immunology, signal transduction and/ or dendritic cell biology. Previous experience of translational research is desirable.
The Merck Serono Newman Fellowship is tenable for two years. This Postdoctoral Fellowship includes a generous stipend.
