The Children's Cancer Research Institute (CCRI) of the St. Anna Kinderkrebsforschung Association is a renowned multidisciplinary research institution with tight links to the spin-off company LabDia Labordiagnostik GmbH and the St. Anna Children's Hospital, a leading pediatric cancer center. The paramount aim of the CCRI is to improve treatment outcome of malignant diseases in children and adolescents by performing basic, translational and clinical research. Moreover, the development of novel diagnostic approaches and treatment concepts is a major focus of the CCRI and LabDia. The division Molecular Microbiology headed by Prof. Thomas Lion, MD, PhD, offers 2 project-related postdoctoral positions Position 1 (full time): Investigation of invasive fungal infections within the international EU-project FUNGITECT. Position 2 (full time): Investigation of myeloproliferative neoplasms, particularly chronic myeloid leukemia, within a national research network (SFB) supported by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF). Eligible candidates should have a PhD or equivalent, and postdoctoral experience with scientific accomplishments in one of the indicated areas. An excellent command of English is required, and at least basic knowledge of German would be desirable. The initial appointment will be for 3 years with an option for further extension.
