The School of Medicine, University of Western Sydney is a new Australian medical school with emerging biomedical and clinical research programmes. The Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Translational Gastroenterology position is designed to bridge the basic science/clinical medicine divide through developing both clinical and basic science research in Gastroenterology with a particular focus in Neurogastroenterology and Motility. The Postgraduate Research Fellow will be principally based at the School of Medicine, Campbelltown Campus where they will coordinate research activities and laboratory work but will also be involved in clinical motility research work at teaching hospitals of the University of Western Sydney.
This position represents a unique opportunity for a keen researcher to forge experience in translational medicine and help develop a new research field at the School of Medicine. The successful applicant will be provided with appropriate resources including workstation, lab space and a generous allowance for consumables/travel support.
