Postdoctoral Position in Computational Chemistry
Job Description
A postdoctoral position in computational chemistry is available in the Laboratory of Prof. José Gascón at University of Connecticut in the Department of Chemistry.
The project involves molecular modeling simulations of binding of organocations into aluminosilicate clays. Expertise in Molecular Dynamics and Free Energy methods is required. Preference will be given to applicants with prior experience applying these computational tools to geochemical or mineralogical problems, or with a strong background in geochemistry or environmental chemistry.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. in chemistry, physics, biochemistry, or a related field. Salary is commensurate with experience. The applicants should send their CV, the names of three referees, and representative publications to jose.gascon@uconn.edu.
