Applicants are sought for Clinical Scientist and Post-Doctoral Research positions at Reprogenetics UK, a dynamic and growing molecular genetics laboratory, specialising in preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD). Both posts are available immediately.
The clinical post is at a supervisory level and would suit well-motivated scientists with a track record in genetic diagnostics. The successful candidate will lead a small team and assist in developing a service that employs cutting-edge genetic technologies for the diagnosis of inherited disorders in single cells. Experience with PCR-based methods is desirable and applicants should ideally be HCPC registered or hold an equivalent certification.
The research position is focused on the development of novel methods for the genetic analysis of single cells and the creation of new techniques for the evaluation of gametes and embryos. Some of the research is expected to provide basic scientific data, although the majority is likely to be of a more translational nature. The post would be appropriate for a post-doctoral level scientist with experience of a variety of molecular genetic techniques.
Both positions will provide opportunities for training in new techniques. Publication of data and conference attendance is encouraged and supported.
