Postdoctoral Fellow - Prostate Cancer Biology : New York City, NY, United States
The laboratory of Dr. Himisha Beltran at the Weill Cornell Medicine, New York, NY, is recruiting a postdoctoral fellow for ongoing research in prostate cancer. Dr. Beltran’s lab combines multi-disciplinary approaches to study the prostate cancer disease progression and treatment resistance. A major focus of the lab is in understanding the mechanisms driving the neuroendocrine resistance phenotype in prostate cancer. This includes the use of genomics and epigenomics, development of preclinical model systems, and testing of novel treatment strategies. For this project, the candidates will use molecular techniques in combination with cell line models, organoids, and xenografts. The project is translational in nature and will allow for a broad network of interactions with computational, clinical and basic researchers here at Weill Cornell and at other institutions. The position is open to graduating Ph.D. students and current postdoctoral fellows. Candidates must have a Ph.D. and a strong background in, molecular biology, cancer genomics, biochemistry or other related fields.
Competitive salary will be offered and the starting date is flexible.
