Seeking M.S. or Ph.D. graduates for Research Technologist position in the Mulder Lab, Dept. of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Penn State Hershey College of Medicine, Hershey, PA.
Research is focused on tumor cell signaling, trafficking, and cell motility/invasion, with a particular emphasis on colorectal and pancreatic cancer. Research also pertains to TGFß, anti-cancer therapeutics, km23, Ras, invadopodia, and dynein motor protein transport.
Requirements include an M.S. or Ph.D. in a relevant field, as well as relevant peer-reviewed molecular/cell biology publications. Must have demonstrated hands on experience with mammalian cell culture and basic molecular/cell biology techniques (ie, WB, IP/blot, PCR, construct preparation, shRNA, CRISPR, IF, live imaging, migration/invasion assays). Applicant must be a US citizen, permanent resident, or have a green card, with relevant expertise demonstrated by published work.
Penn State Hershey College of Medicine is located in a scenic countryside setting, with moderate climate conditions and affordable living just minutes from work. Located near the state capitol, Harrisburg, in south central PA, it is approximately 1.5 hours from Philadelphia, PA, or Baltimore, MD, and about 3 hours from New York City.
