Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position to study in the Schäkel Lab new genes and mechanisms that we have discovered to regulate skin inflammation. This position is funded by the German Research Foundation and is available starting from February 2017 at the Department of Dermatology in Heidelberg.
The successful candidate will join an experienced research team studying the role of dendritic cells and macrophages in skin inflammation with a focus on psoriasis. The project involves gene expression profiling, cellular and molecular immunology, and a skin-humanized mouse model.
Qualifications
Hard working candidates with Doctorate Degree and the drive for success are encouraged to apply. One or two years of postdoctoral experience is preferred. The applicant should hold experience in immunology and cell biology. He/She is required to hold an MD or a PhD in biology, molecular biology, or a related field, as well as strong written and oral communication skills. The working language is English.
