The Helmholtz Zentrum München in Munich, Germany, is member of one of the leading research associations in Europe – the Helmholtz Association of German Research Centers. The aim of our research is to proactively detect health risks involving humans and the environment, decoding the mechanisms of pathogenesis and developing concepts for prevention and therapy.

DZD with five partner locations all over Germany as the national diabetes research center has the task of showing new ways of prevention and therapy of diabetes by the close interrelation of basic research, clinical research and applied research. The purposeful use and interconnection of all research data therein plays an important role. To this end, DZD, at the site of the headquarter at Helmholtz Zentrum München will employ at the earliest convenience
