Job description

Tasks. The postdoc takes the lead in the further elaboration of the CBT treatment. The online program will consist of 5 modules, 1 pre-operative and 4 post-operative, each dealing with a specific theme. The framework is already available, the postdoc is expected to write the texts and specific exercises. This will be done in consultation with the researchers and patient representatives. The postdoc also maintains contacts with the e-Health company where the program will be hosted. Tasks also include pilot testing of the program, including online supervision of the first participating patients. In addition, the postdoc organizes interviews with patients from the pilot study (whether or not in the form of a focus group). Based on feedback from patients and their own experiences with the program, the content of the modules can be adjusted where necessary. Finally, the postdoc will take care of analyzing and reporting of the pilot data.

Context. The postdoc collaborates with, and reports to, the other members of the project team, consisting of a psychologist, anesthesiologists, and epidemiologists. In addition, there is close contact with the programmers of the e-Health company. The postdoc will be part of the section "Experimental Health Psychology" within the department "Clinical Psychological Science". The postdoc will participate in the weekly section meetings and present his/her work there.

Requirements

  Master's degree in psychology

  Promotion (or forthcoming promotion) in the field of clinical or health psychology or a related field

  Knowledge of and experience with cognitive behavioural therapy

  Excellent communication properties

  Proficiency in Dutch

  Experience with e-Health interventions and/or oncopsychology is an advantage.

Fixed-term contract: 1 year.
