We are seeking to appoint a postdoctoral research associate with experience in behavioural genetics or behavioural neuroendocrinology to work on the neurobiological bases of social relationships as part of a multidisciplinary team directed by Professor Robin Dunbar. You will be responsible for developing and running studies exploring the neuroendocrine mechanisms of social bonding, using a range of experimental and bioinformatics approaches, with a particular focus on endorphins, oxytocin/vasopressin, dopamine and serotonin.
The successful candidate will need to have completed (or be about to submit) a relevant PhD and be able to work in a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
The post is for 3 years, starting on 1 October 2013, or as soon as possible thereafter.
