An externally-funded postdoctoral position is available in the Institute for Neuroscience at the George Washington University (http://www.gwumc.edu/neuroscience). Our laboratory combines electrophysiology, imaging and behavioral techniques to understanding neural circuits for auditory processing and hearing-related behaviors in mice (Wu et al., Neuron, 2006, 2008; Kuo and Wu, Neuron, 2012). We’re looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to conduct systems-level neuroscience and mouse behavioral research. Please visit our lab web site for details (http://www.wulab.org). In the heart of Washington DC, the GW neuroscience community and adjacent institutions including Children’s National Medical Center provide an ideal environment for work, life and excellent career opportunities.
Candidates should or will have their PhD, MD, or PhD/MD in neuroscience or related fields before their appointment date. Experience in in vivo electrophysiology, whole cell recording and/or functional imaging is required. Quantitative training in engineering is strongly desired. Interested candidates should send their CV, research statement of their interests and goal, and the contact information of three references to Guangying Wu (gwu2@gwu.edu).
