The Faculty of Economics in central Cambridge wishes to appoint a full time Postdoctoral Research Associate to work on a project on Real-Financial Linkages and Start-Stop Phases of Economic Growth Since 1870, funded by the Keynes Fund. The project is directed by Dr Solomos Solomou (http://www.econ.cam.ac.uk/faculty/solomou).
Candidates should have a Ph.D or be expected to receive their award by October 2013. A strong background in econometrics, including time-series methods and panel methods is essential. A good working knowledge of Matlab, Stata, and Wavelets packages would be an advantage. Applicants with a background in Economics or Finance would be preferred. The project has a historical focus and some interest in economic history would be useful.
This is a fixed-term appointment for one year from 1st October 2013 (or soon after). The salary will be at Grade 7 on the University scale, starting at £27,854 to £36,298 per annum.
