Postdoctoral positions are available immediately to investigate the underlying mechanisms of maternal obesity-induced offspring adiposity. Study will focus on how maternal obesity and intra-uterine environment programs the life-long adverse effects on offspring lipid and glucose metabolism. Small rodents and cultured cells are main research models. Molecular biology and biochemistry techniques will be used. Candidate should be highly motivated and has a doctoral degree in nutrition, biology, biochemistry or related field, and strong background in development. Ability to work both independently and cooperatively within a team is essential. Experience in rodent fetus or obesity is preferred.
