Postdoctoral

Post-Doctoral researcher positions are available immediately in the Philips Institute, Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Virginia, USA to investigate molecular microbiology and bacterial pathogenesis using genomics and systems biology approaches. These positions are supported by a five year grant from National Institutes of Health. The positions will conduct researches using a comprehensive mutant library that contains over 2000 Streptococcus sanguinis deletion strains to study important biological phenotypes using advanced techniques not only molecular biology but also genomics, bioinformatics and systems biology. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree and strong background in molecular biology. Prior experience with DNA sequencing technology is a plus, but not required. An outstanding publication history is preferred.
