Applications are needed for one Postdoctoral Associate position in the Department of Human & Molecular Genetics at Baylor College of Medicine. The fundamental aim of the research is to define the mitochondria- nuclear cross talk in cancer progression and metastasis.
We work on the significance of mitochondria-nuclear crosstalk and specific genetic and metabolomic pathways affected by defective mitochondria in cancer progression. The project involves both in vitro and in vivo experiments including analysis of cancer stem cells.
PhD degree, with interest in breast and prostrate cancer research required.
Candidates with less than three years of postdoctoral experience preferred.
Expertise in cell culture, biochemistry, molecular biology and experience in cell signalling and metabolomic research preferred.
Animal handling experience preferred.
