A fully-funded postdoctoral research position is available within the Cardeza Foundation for Hematologic Research at Thomas Jefferson University. This position will focus on attaining a greater understanding of how fatty acid metabolites regulate platelet function, hemostasis and thrombosis. The applicant should be familiar with mouse models and working with both mouse and human blood samples. An understanding of lipid biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, and signal transduction is preferred.
The applicant should have successfully defended his/her PhD thesis and be willing to commit at least 2-3 years to the project as a postdoctoral research fellow. The Cardeza Foundation affords the applicant the ability to work in an open-lab environment with access to all of the state-of-the-art equipment in order to gain a greater understanding of hemostasis and thrombosis in the in vivo and in vitro setting in both human and mouse models.
