Description:
A postdoc position is available (starting ASAP) at the Institute for Neuroscience, within the Alzheimer’s Research Group at the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium, (I. Dewachter). Using combined expertise of structural biology, cellular/molecular biology and in vivo models our research is focused on unraveling the physio- and pathological roles of APP and protein Tau in the pathogenesis of AD. Methodologically, in vitro to in vivo model systems are used in combination with biochemical, immunohistochemical, behavioral and functional analysis. The current position focuses on studying the pathological role of Tau in vivo.
Profile:
You are a highly motivated person striving for quality, interested in working in an international environment, able to work independently and in a team. Expert skills in studying in vitro, in vivo and/or ex vivo (animal) models of neurodegenerative disorders are recommended. You have less than 6 years post-doc experience, and have not resided in Belgium for more than 2 years during the last 3 years.
