Over 30 years ago, Seattle Biomedical Research Institute was founded as an independent non-profit organization devoted to the research of global infectious disease. Seattle BioMed holds true to those roots today, having grown to include over 300 staff members who work collaboratively with one common goal: to eliminate the world’s most devastating infectious diseases through leadership in scientific discovery.
A Postdoctoral position is now available to investigate the development of humoral responses against HIV during HIV infection and during the preclinical evaluation of candidate HIV vaccines. The contribution of T cell-mediated responses to the maturation of the antibody responses against HIV is a critical component of this study. The ideal candidate will have an outstanding background in Immunology, including human Immunology, and will be able to utilize Molecular, Genetic, Immunological and Computational tools. We are seeking applicants who are innovative and risk-takers that can work independently within a very collaborative environment.
