The Liu lab at University of Michigan is currently accepting applications for post-doctoral fellows from highly qualified candidates interested in working in an interdisciplinary environment at the interface of engineering, cell biology, and biochemistry. We are interested in a systems understanding of endocytosis and cell migration as well as using cellular reconstitution for fundamental understanding of biological design and for building useful devices.

For this position, qualified candidates will be highly motivated, creative, and with a strong track record. Backgrounds in biophysics and biochemistry are desirable. Candidates should have significant experience with protein purification (particular working with membrane proteins) and molecular biology. Experience with biochemical reconstitution is helpful, and interests and experience in synthetic biology is desirable.
