Applications are currently being accepted for postdoctoral fellowship positions and postgraduate students in the laboratory of Dr. Jaseok Peter Koo at the Section of Medical Oncology at Yale Cancer Center, Yale School of Medicine.
We are studying Cancer Biology in order to better understand carcinogenesis and to develop novel targeted therapy for cancer treatment and prevention. Specifically, we focus on understanding physiologic and pathobiologic roles of oncoproteins and transcription factors in lung cancer development. There are also ongoing studies regarding the role of transcription factors in normal mucociliary differentiation and abnormal growth/survival of lung epithelial cells. The outcome of this study will assist in the identification of novel therapeutic targets and the development of new drugs for cancer treatment.
Candidates should have a PhD or MD/PhD with less than 3 years experience as Post-Doctoral fellow. Experience in cancer biology, cell biology, molecular biology, or bioinformatics is required. Candidates with experience in handling mouse models of cancer are greatly advantageous.
For consideration, please email a CV, a brief statement of research interests, and name of 3 referees to Dr. Peter Koo (jspeter.koo@gmail.com).
