A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the lab of Dr. Paul Shaw in the Department of Neurobiology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis to study the molecular and cellular bases for sleep regulation, plasticity and memory consolidation in the fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster . Successful candidates will have the opportunity to learn and apply molecular, genetic, physiological, and behavioral tools to study mechanisms by which sleep might influence plasticity.
