The Lombard laboratory in the Department of Pathology at UM Ann Arbor seeks a postdoctoral fellow to participate in screens for small molecule inducers of cellular stress resistance. S/he will work closely with the Center for Chemical Genomics at UM to optimize screening conditions, and prioritize lead compounds for further study. Following the screens, s/he will perform downstream biological characterization of hits in cell culture and in vivo, in mice or other aging model organisms. The successful applicant will work with a team whose overall goal is identification of small molecules extending lifespan in mammals, worms, and flies.

Ph.D. and a strong record of accomplishment during graduate school, tissue culture expertise, and previous experience with HTS are a must.
