Brigham & Women's Hosp. Harvard Medical School - Cambridge, MA
A postdoctoral fellow position is available beginning December 1st, or soon thereafter, in a new lab at BWH Regenerative Medicine Center. We study the biochemistry of pluripotency and cellular reprogramming using mouse and human embryonic stem cells (ESCs) and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) as model systems. We have developed a powerful in vitro reconstituted transcription system that allows us to model and identify novel mechanisms of gene activation in ESCs and iPSCs. We also expect to adapt this in vitro system to study gene regulation in adult stem cell types. The rich collaborative environment at Harvard and its affiliated hospital offers many opportunities for career development and education. For more information of the lab, please visit our website: http://brmc.bwh.harvard.edu/fong-lab/dr-yick-w-fong/
Requirements: A Ph.D. (or equivalent) degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or related topics. Special consideration will be given to applicants who have strong background in biochemistry, molecular biology, and/or cell biology. Experience in the biochemical and functional characterization of protein complexes would be especially desirable.
