THE SAINSBURY LABORATORY
An 30 month post-doctoral position is available in the group of Professor Jonathan Jones. This BBSRC-funded project to is investigate mechanisms by which nuclear-localised effectors from the Arabidopsis downy mildew Hyaloperonospora arabidopsidis interfere with host defence and promote disease susceptibility. Extensive experience in protein chemistry, protein kinase assays, cell death assays, and Q-PCR to assay mRNA level changes would be an advantage.

Salary will be within the UEA Research and Analogous staff Grade 1A scale at between £30,424 and £36,298 pa; the appointment level will reflect qualifications, skills, knowledge and achievements. The position is offered for 30 months.
Candidates should be highly motivated individuals with a PhD degree in Molecular Biology.
