This appointment is full time and will be on UCL Grade 7. The salary range will be £32,375 per annum., inclusive of London Allowance.

We are pleased to announce a call for applications for a BBSRC-funded Research Associate/postdoctoral researcher to study “Mechanisms of transcriptional bursting dynamics”. This project builds on previous work by members of the Chubb team (PNAS 109:7350-5, Curr Biol 16:1018-25) and involves combining imaging and modelling approaches, together with molecular genetics to understand gene regulation.

Work will be carried out at the MRC Laboratory for Molecular Cell Biology http://www.ucl.ac.uk/LMCB/ .

Candidates are expected to be exceptional, highly motivated scientists who have a PhD degree and a track record of research in the physical and/or life sciences. A strong background in image analysis is required together with computational modelling and simulation. Experience with microscopy of living cells will be an advantage.
