A postdoctoral position for an outstanding and highly motivated candidate is available in the Bowman Laboratory at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Our research focuses on the mechanisms regulating hematopoietic stem cell fate decisions during development and regeneration.
The successful candidate with employ zebrafish genetics, molecular biology, ex vivo cell culture, flow cytometry, imaging and high-throughput genomics techniques to explore how epigenetic factors and RNA binding proteins control normal hematopoietic stem cell function and what goes wrong in disease states.
Applicants must have a Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are critical.
Candidate’s research will benefit from the highly interactive environment within the Gottesman Institute for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine, the Department of Developmental and Molecular Biology, and throughout the college. Albert Einstein College of Medicine is situated in the Bronx, one of the five boroughs of New York City and offers ready access to the cultural and recreational opportunities in Manhattan and the greater New York area.
