Synthetic Organic Chemistry

As part of the Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI) EU-project European Lead Factory I am looking for an well trained and highly motivated organic chemist for a temporary up to 2 years postdoctoral position.
The work involves the design, discovery and validation of novel scaffolds based on multicomponent reaction chemistry (MCR). The corresponding synthetic pathways must be validated for large scale parallel synthesis.

Skills and requirements:

• fluent in theory and practice of organic chemistry;
• fluent in all modern synthetic (purification, MW, upscaling, parallel synthesis…) and analytical methods (HPLC, MS, NMR …);
• hard working and creative;
• extensive knowledge in MCR chemistry is desirable but not a precondition
• knowledge in medicinal chemistry is desirable but not a precondition
