A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Merav Socolovsky in the Department of Cancer Biology at the University of Masschusetts Medical School. We investigate the process of mammalian blood cell differentiation, with a focus on epigenetics and the cell cycle (see Shearstone et al., Science 2011; Pop et al, PLoS Biology 2010). Available projects include genome-wide analysis of DNA methylation and hydroxymethylation. Applicants should possess a PhD in Cell, Developmental or Molecular Biology and be creative and highly motivated.
