A 2 year postdoctoral position is available to join an ERC-funded team working on the experimental evolution of antibiotic resistance in Pseudomonas. This project uses high-throughput experimental evolution coupled to whole genome sequencing to investigate how evolutionary history, population demography and the strength of selection influence the rate and mechanisms of resistance evolution.
We are seeking a candidate with a PhD/DPhil in experimental evolution who has experience in microbial experimental evolution, training in the analysis of next-generation sequence data, and a strong background in statistics and computer programming. The postholder will work closely with other postdocs and PhD students, and the candidate will require excellent communication, teamwork, and organisation skills.
Eligible candidates are encouraged to contact Craig MacLean (email: craig.maclean@zoo.ox.ac.uk) with a CV prior to application.
Only applications made online before 12.00 midday on 9 October 2013 will be considered. You are required to upload a CV and supporting statement.
