A postdoctoral position is open for 24 months in cellular virology. The project focuses on identifying new signalling pathways activated or regulated during influenza infection, and determining how epigenome modulations affect the host response and infection issue.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The applicant will be based in the Department of Molecular Immunology and Virology in Jouy-en-Josas, and will be supervised by Drs Bernard Delmas and Ronan Le Goffic.
The Research Unit of Molecular Immunology and Virology located in the Jouy-en-Josas INRA campus France (20km SW of Paris), focuses on viral respiratory diseases in mammals and birds, and non-conventional agents such as prions (http://www6.jouy.inra.fr/vim_eng/). The research activities range from the molecular characterization of pathogens to host-defense mechanisms. Host-pathogen interactions are studied in target species (swine, cattle, sheep, trout) or model species (mice, zebra fish).
ELIGIBILITY AND SKILLS: The applicant must have a maximum of 10 years research experience, not having spent more than 12 months in France within the last 3 years.
