Full Time The appointment will be on UCL Grade 7. The salary range will be £32,375 - £34,165 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.

The research group of Professor Marc-Olivier Coppens at UCL’s Department of Chemical Engineering, in collaboration with Professor Mark Miodownik and other colleagues at the Centre for Nature Inspired Engineering are looking for a skilled and creative postdoctoral research associate with ample experience in materials synthesis, to work on applications related to the scalable manufacturing of adaptive, self-organising materials, as part of the larger efforts of the EPSRC-funded Centre for Nature Inspired Engineering.

The post is available immediately for 3 years in the first instance.

The candidate should be creative and knowledgeable, with an ability to look across conventional disciplinary borders and have at least one of the higher degrees (either the BSc/BEng or the PhD) in chemical engineering or a related discipline, with a strong fundamental background and demonstrated skills in linking theory to experiments, preferably related to catalysis and/or separation applications.
