Postdoctoral Researcher
Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Cell and Developmental Biology Department at the John Innes Centre.
A Postdoctoral Researcher is required to undertake innovative research where a combinatorial strategy utilizing molecular, genetic, genomic, proteomic and biochemical approaches will be used to study the molecular mechanisms of gene regulation underlying the integration of temperature perception and defence responses in plants.
Highly motivated individuals with a PhD having a strong background in molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry and an excellent record of scientific productivity are encouraged to apply. Previous experience with Arabidopsis molecular genetics, plant-pathogen interactions, next generation sequencing applications (RNA-seq, ChIP-seq) and bioinformatics skills would be highly desirable.
Salary on appointment will be within the range £28,100 to £34,430 per annum depending on qualifications and experience. This post is for a contract of 24 months with a possibility of a further extension subject to funding.
