You are invited to apply for a postdoctoral position in an exciting new research programme to develop a vaccine against Parkinson's disease based on virus-like particles.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated scientist preferably with previous experience with protein expression and biochemistry as well as immunology. Experience with in vivo studies would be an advantage but is not essential. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential in order to make a strong contribution to the project funded by the Michael J Fox Foundation.
You must have a first degree and PhD or equivalent in a relevant biological subject with a desire to learn about working with virus-like particles and become an expert in vaccine design.
The position will be based at the Jenner Institute Laboratories and the Central Proteomics Service, Sir William Dunn Pathology School, South Parks Road, Oxford OX1 3RE.
This post is for 24 months in the first instance, but has the potential to be extended based on the availability of further funding.
