The research group of Professor Martin R. Larsen, part of the Protein Research Group at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Southern Denmark (SDU) in Odense, has a two-year postdoc position available from 1 January 2014 specifically aiming at investigating the influence of sialic acid modification of surface glycoproteins on intracellular signalling using mass spectrometry based quantitative proteomics/PTMomics and molecular biological techniques.

Qualifications

The successful candidate would have a PhD degree in biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology or a related field and is highly motivated and innovative. The candidate has to have significant experience, both theoretically and practically, in glycoproteomics and glycobiology .
