A postdoctoral research scholar position is available at the School of Natural Sciences to study novel modes of assembly and transport using nanostructures derived from biological and carbon-based nanomaterials building blocks. The postdoctoral researcher would synthesize these nanostructures, determine their structure and test their transport properties.

Qualifications:

Successful applicants should have a recent Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry or related discipline and an excellent publication record. Experience in the following areas is preferred: carbon nanomaterials synthesis, nanopore transport studies, atomic layer deposition, self-assembled materials, LB films and/or lipid bilayer assembly.
