Post-doctoral position available for highly motivated candidates with a background in molecular/cellular biology to join the Chan laboratory, a cancer genetics laboratory studying tumor suppressor genes in brain and breast cancers. Projects will involve using genetic and functional analyses to characterize the genomics and function of tumor suppressor genes. Potential projects for fellows in the lab include but are not limited to investigating tumor suppressor genes central to glioma oncogenesis, investigating the genomics of metastasis, etc. Approaches utilized will include genome-wide microarray analysis, molecular cloning, biochemistry, mouse models, next-generation genomic sequencing, etc. Applicants should hold a PhD and/or MD degree and have strong laboratory and analytical skills. Significant experience in molecular biology and cancer biology is required. Good communication and organizational skills are a must. Bioinformatics knowledge is preferred.
