A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Hao-Jie Zhu in the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy at Ann Arbor. The lab is using a combined approach of mass spectrometry-based proteomics and conventional molecular biology to study the effect of genetic variants on the expression and activity of drug metabolizing enzymes and drug transporters, and its consequent clinical impact on pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of various medications.
The successful candidate must hold a Ph.D. in a biomedical science discipline and have solid experience in LC-MS and/or molecular biology. Candidates with a background in proteomics and bioinformatics are particularly encouraged to apply. Previous experience with animal handing would be a plus.
