Applications are invited for these four postdoctoral research positions within the Centre for Molecular Nanometrology. Based within the Department of Pure and Applied Chemistry, the posts are funded by a collaborative grant awarded by the EPSRC to investigate in situ nanoparticle assemblies for healthcare applications. The award is in collaboration with the University of Glasgow and the University of Warwick. The positions cover areas of nanoparticle functionalisation, biological handling, data processing, spectroscopy (particularly Raman, SERS and in vivo imaging) and the photothermal properties of metallic nanoparticles. There is a heavy emphasis on team working and you will be required to interact with the other postdoctoral researchers based at the collaborating institutions. You will be expected to take on leadership roles within the Centre for Molecular Nanometrology and supervise additional research projects where PhD students are supporting the core research programme. You will have a PhD in an area of nanoscience or spectroscopy with preferably biological experience.
