This postdoctoral position will involve full time research on the genetic bases of host colonization in bacteria gut symbionts of bees. Applicants must have a doctoral degree, and experience in molecular microbiology, genomics, and bioinformatics, and a strong publication and research record. They should be able to write well, analyze data, think creatively, and collaborate. The successful applicant will be part of a highly interactive lab group with emphasis in the evolution and ecology of microbial communities, genomics approaches, and insects as hosts to microbes.
Start date is between April and Dec 2014 and is potentially renewable for 2 years, NIH pay scale.
