NIH-NIAID-funded POSTDOCTORAL POSITION available at the F. Widjaja Foundation Inflammatory Bowel and Immunobiology Research Institute (IBIRI*) at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA-USA* to study molecular regulation of T cell effector function in the intestinal mucosa.
Current areas of specific interest include the role of a transcription factor in preventing mucosal T cell hyper responsiveness (J Immunol. 2012 189(12):5682-93; J Exp Med. 2008 Sep 1;205(9):1959-6 and. Nat Immunol. 2006 May;7(5):457-65), identification of new pathways regulating mucosal T cell function and study of human mucosal T cell responses.
Candidates should have a demonstrated record of significant scientific accomplishment at the graduate or postdoctoral level; a solid background in immunology and molecular biology is preferred. Specialty background in mucosal immunology and in vivo mice models preferred but not absolutely required.
