We have a postdoctoral position available to carry out research on the molecular basis of ribosome function using a combination of biochemistry and electron microscopy.

The position is funded through an MRC Career Development Fellowship for 3 years and is for work in the group of Venki Ramakrishnan at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge, UK.

The candidate should have a PhD in a relevant field, with a background in single-particle reconstruction using cryoelectron microscopy, and a record of publications in good journals. Prior experience in the biochemistry and single-particle reconstruction of ribosomes is also essential.
