The postdoc will be involved in developing and characterizing new glioma models with the IDH1 mutation and evaluating the in vitro and in vivo anti-tumor activities of our newly developed small molecule inhibitor(s) specifically targeting the mutated IDH1 gene.
Some of the techniques used:
*Cell culture
*Assays of cell proliferation, apoptosis and differentiation
*DNA, RNA and protein extraction
*qRT-PCR, Western hybridization
*Histological and immunohistochemical staining
*Flow cytometry and FACS
Requires at least two years of lab experience. Must be familiar with molecular biology techniques. Previous training on cancer biology highly desired. Working experience with xenograft animal models and knowledge of brain tumors and cancer stem cell is a plus.
