NIH funded postdoctoral position available immediately in the laboratory of Joseph Pagano at the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, to study cellular and molecular mechanisms of viral oncogenesis. Original research centers on regulation of oncogenic cellular and viral processes engaged by the ubiquitin/deubiquitination system in the context of Epstein-Barr Virus infection including studies with latently EBV infected cells and molecular mechanisms of viral-host interactions during the viral productive life cycle. Self-motivation and experience in cellular/molecular biology expected. Proficiency in cell culture and standard molecular techniques required. Include record of publications, academic achievement, and written and oral communication skills. Resources of leading interdisciplinary center with established Postdoctoral Training and Virology Research Programs provide unique training experience. Recent graduate preferred.
