Post-doctoral scientist (m/f) – Postdoctoral Fellow Program opportunity : Garching, Germany
The Institute of Diabetes and Obesity (IDO) is a multi-disciplinary academic research institute integrated at the Technical University Munich (TUM) and the Helmholtz Center Munich. The Helmholtz Center Munich is a member of the Helmholtz Association, Germany's largest scientific organization that holds an outstanding publication record and is very well financed by public as well as private funds.
As part of the Institute of Diabetes and Obesity the Independent Investigator group of Elke Glasmacher 'Gene regulation in immune cells’ is seeking for a highly qualified and motivated Post-doctoral Scientist and offers a 3-4 years fully funded postdoctoral position. The group studies principles of gene regulation in immune cell differentiation and plasticity. The laboratory combines a variety of genome-wide techniques (ChIP-Seq, RNA-Seq, 4SU-labeling, ribosomal profiling) with classical molecular techniques (DNA-RNA-binding Studies, Microscopy, Viral expression systems, Reporter-assays) to identify novel mechanisms important for immune cell differentiation programs.
