Postdoc Position in Photoacoustic Imaging
Job Description
In the Department of Biomedical, Industrial & Human Factors Engineering at Wright State University (WSU), we focus on noninvasive optical imaging of the brain function and cancer at preclinical and clinical settings. We are looking for candidates to take an active part in the research and development of novel photoacoustic imaging instrumentation and computational methods. The position offers a stimulating work environment integrating engineering and physics with medicine and biology. The candidate will have a unique opportunity in both basic laboratory and translational research by collaborating with scientists and medical doctors located in close proximity as well as scientists at US Air Force Research Labs, which is also located next to WSU. Current research projects include the topics related to neuroscience, functional imaging of brain function, and cancer diagnosis and therapy.

Qualifications: The candidate should have demonstrated expertise in photoacoustic imaging, photoacoustic microscopy and/or endoscopy. The qualified candidates should have a strong background in Biomedical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering or related fields.
Preferred Skills:
• Previous experience photoacoustic imaging, photoacoustic microscopy and/or endoscopy.
• Experience in instrumentation development, hardware control and signal acquisition (preferably with Labview), Signal and image processing, data analysis methods.
• Strong programming skills and experience with Labview and Matlab.
