Postdoctoral fellow position is available in the Shriners Hospitals Pediatric Research Center, Temple University School of Medicine (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) in the area of neurodevelopment and disease with the retinal emphasis.
The successful candidate will employ molecular, cellular, imaging and high throughput approaches to (1) investigate the mechanisms underlying organ/cell size and fate determination during eye development, and (2) develop cell- and gene- based therapies to restore visual defects in the mouse model of Leber Congenital Amaurosis type 8 (an ealry-onset blinding disease).
Candidates with experience in molecular and cellular biology, and mouse genetics is preferred.
