Postdoctoral Research Associate – Development of Nanosensors for Neuronal Imaging : Boston, MA, United States
We were recently awarded a NIH R01 to develop tools and techniques for imaging biochemical dynamics in dendritic spines using reversible fluorescent nanosensors. This project will expand on state of the art neuronal imaging integrating techniques from cell biology, high-speed confocal microscopy, electrophysiology and nanotechnology. We are looking for several motivated candidates to fill postdoctoral research associate positions on this project. A competitive candidate should have a strong track record of research in neurophysiology, cellular physiology, cellular electrophysiology, neurobiology, cellular biology or related fields. Our group is multi-disciplinary and collaborative, and candidates who work well on a team will be given preference.
Qualifications & essential functions: Ph.D. in neurobiology, neuroscience, biomedical sciences, or a related field. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in the areas of:
- Neurobiology, electrophysiology, cell culture, assay development, Optical microscopy and biophysics
Experience with animals and/or nanotechnology would also be an asset.
