A Postdoctoral Fellowship opportunity is immediately available for the highly motivated individual in the laboratory of Dr. Robert Hickey at the Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope, a prestigious NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. As a successful candidate, you will:
· Synthesize small molecules using multi-step processes, modern purification systems (e.g., Flash Chromatography), and advanced analytical tools.
· Design and optimize synthetic pathways to efficiently produce high-quality target molecules.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams on the discovery and development of small molecule drugs and PROTAC-drug conjugates.
· Present research findings and contribute to scientific discussions within the project team.
· Maintain a safe, compliant, and organized laboratory environment while adhering to EHS policies and regulatory standards.
Your qualifications should include:
Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, preferably earned within the past two years.
Demonstrated expertise in small molecule synthesis within a standard chemistry laboratory setting.
Proficiency in purification techniques for small organic molecules, such as chromatography (HPLC, LCMS), and characterization methods, including NMR and mass spectrometry.

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $34.00 - $37.55 / hour
The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
